Technical Support for Logging into CANARIE's Proposal Submission Site
CANARIE currently uses an online proposal-submission tool operated by ReviewRoom, a Chide.it service. This tool allows people to review requirements, upload documents, edit their settings and proposals, and track status.
Proposals MUST be submitted using CANARIE’s online application which requires you to log in. Through this interface, you will be able to edit details, upload documents, and track progress. To do so, you have two options:
1. Log in using Canadian Access Federation (CAF) credentials.
2. Log in using an OpenIdP credential.
Technical Support for CAF Identity Providers
The following information is also availabe in PDF form [78 KB].
- My Identity Provider is not listed, why must I opt in and how do I do this?
The opt-in requirement is to improve the user experience when accessing the CANARIE submission area. CANARIE uses the CAF Service Provider chide.it for various submissions to CANARIE and they require attributes above and beyond the default data release policies of the federation. The list of Identity Providers is populated only with those who release the attributes. To request your CAF Identity Provider to be listed, please visit: http://nai.canarie.ca/idp/+/ - What attributes are required and which are optional to permit my CAF IdP to sign in?
The mapping of the attributes is listed below - How do I release these attributes in my SAML2 Idp?
The answer in the attached file is aimed at the Identity Provider administrator who can make configuration changes regarding attribute release. This person is usually with the central IT department of your organization.
