Identity Access Management Support Specialist

The Identity Access Management Support Specialist will be accountable for assisting in the operations of current services and supporting the evolution of next generation Identity Access Management (IAM) services.

This is a full-time, permanent position that reports to CANARIE’s Senior Director, Applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day management of the IAM services
  • Assist with onboarding and frontline technical support
  • Deployment and operational support of IAM infrastructure and services
  • Deployment and operational support of roaming WiFi infrastructure and services
  • Execution of production environment change management processes
  • Provide front line client support and working with partners to resolve service problems
  • Perform pro-active system and service monitoring and analysis
  • Assist the operations team with the management, upgrading, and evolution of the infrastructure
  • Collaborate with the CANARIE team and partners nationally and internationally in initiatives that drive service adoption, and operation of advanced services
  • Domestic and international travel may occasionally be required
  • Related duties and responsibilities, as required

What You Bring

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or College Certificate in Computer Technology or a suitable combination of education, experience, or other relevant training
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Previous working experience installing and managing open-source software on Linux and Windows (bare metal and virtualized)
  • Previous working experience with public key infrastructure (PKI), X.509 certificates, SSL/TLS, and RADIUS and/or SAML 2.0 protocols and related solutions

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills and detailed-oriented
  • Proven experience in customer support

Technical Proficiencies

Working knowledge of the following:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Custom scripting on Windows/Linux

Experience working with the following is desirable:

  • OpenID Connect and OAUTH 2.0
  • Web Services, RESTful API, JAVA, python, Docker, or Kubernetes
  • Splunk, Nagios, and OTRS
  • Multi-factor authentication solutions
