The Local Research Software Support funding call has launched and is accepting applications. The goal of this call is to establish research software support teams at selected institutions, who are available to assist researchers to develop, enhance, repurpose, and maintain software for research.

CRSC 2020: Mark your Calendars!
The Canadian Research Software Conference (CRSC) will be on May 26-27, 2020 in Montreal, QC.
Who should attend?
- Active developers of research software (regardless of job title)
- Computational researchers
- Doctorate Students and those studying to develop research software
- Researchers with an interest in software development
You will have the opportunity to:
- Join and build the Canadian community of research software developers;
- Discover new solutions to common research software development problems; and
- Learn, collaborate, and contribute new solutions to common issues affecting software development for research.
We are looking for speakers for both our lightning talk and full sessions. There will also be opportunities to submit a poster for the poster competition.
Status of Canadian Research Software Conference in Light of COVID-19
Currently, the Canadian Research Software Conference (CRSC) is proceeding as planned. The health and safety of our participants and our communities is our priority, and our team is continually monitoring guidance from national, provincial, and local governments and health authorities.
Should there be any changes to the event, we will immediately update registered attendees and this website. Please rest assured that in the event that the CRSC is cancelled, all registration fees will be fully refunded. All hotel room bookings in the conference’s room block at the Omni Mont Royal can also be cancelled without penalty, up to 24 hours before the expected arrival date.

Research Software Call 3 Proposals Selected
We received over 40 applications for Research Software Call 3 and have made 14 selections. These selections are from a wide range of disciplines and fields of study. Please look for our press release in the coming months announcing the selections. Thank you to all those who submitted an application.
