Welcome to the second edition of the DAIR Cloud community newsletter. This time around, we have other exciting things to show as we focus on the use of Apache in DAIR.
If you are new to using Apache, check out our new instructional video that walks you through the process.
1. Getting Started with Apache
2. Advance your Knowledge
Below you will find some recommended articles about the use of Apache for various tasks. If you’d like to take advantage of your new Apache set-up on DAIR, this is the perfect place to start.
1. Installing an SSL Certificate with Apache (digicert.com)
2. Setting up multiple domains in Apache (geekflare.com)
3. Hardening Apache (apache.org)
4. Basic Administration of Apache (apache.org)
3. Q & A
The questions that current DAIR users have are probably relevant to you as well. Here are two from the past month that you might find useful:
Question #1: “I have installed my application and everything is setup right, but I cannot access my application from the internet. What do I do?
Answer #1: “You have probably forgot to create a firewall rule in Access and Security to allow access to your application. Our tenant firewalls are all setup to deny all external access.”
Question #2: “What kind of GPU’s are used within DAIR?
Answer #2: “Our GPU instances have access to a single NVIDIA grid K1. All drivers including CUDA 8 are built into the image. Only the G1.Large flavor is enabled with GPU capabilities and it takes 4 compute units. You then use an image with the -GPU flag as part of the name.”
As always, contact [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns about your DAIR deployment.
