Is there a test environment in which we can test our metadata before going live?

What is the Canadian Access Federation’s (CAF) Metadata Registration Practice Statement (MRPS)?

The MRPS describes the metadata registration practices. It describes details such as how the Canadian Access Federation (CAF) registers “entities” in the federation, as well as standards and processes related to metadata formats, entity registration, and entity management.

How do we join eduGAIN?

If your organization participates in the Canadian Access Federation as an Identity Provider, (IdP) you are already in eduGAIN.

If your organization participates in the Canadian Access Federation as a Service Provider (SP), please send a request to tickets@canarie.ca to promote your service to eduGAIN.

How do I enrol my institution/organization in the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT)?

If your organization has an Identity Provider (IdP) registered in the Canadian Access Federation, you will be able to access CAT using your institution’s credentials. Please submit a request to access CAT to canops@canarie.ca. An invitation to manage your Identity Provider (IdP) CAT will be sent to the technical contact we have on file for your organization. Please note that the link provided in the invitation is only valid for 24 hours.

If your organization does not have an Identity Provider (IdP) registered in the Canadian Access Federation, you will be required to use social network credentials such as Gmail, LinkedIn, Twitter, or facebook to login. Please submit your request to canops@canarie.ca. An invitation to manage your Identity Provider (IdP) in the CAT will be sent to the technical contact we have on file for your organization. Please note that the link provided in the invitation is only valid for 24 hours.
