Stronger Together: CANARIE Summit to Explore a Range of Remarkable Collaborations

Canada’s Research, Education, and Innovation Communities to Come Together Again in Toronto

[October 18, 2022 – Ottawa, ON]

Unusual or unexpected pairings can lead to remarkable successes. The theme of the 2022 CANARIE Summit is Stronger Together: Celebrating Inspiring Collaborations and Remarkable Successes and the final program is now available.

The Summit will be held in Toronto from October 25 – 26, with guests representing organizations in research, education, the private sector, not-for-profit and government coming together to learn from a diverse roster of exceptional speakers. Expect the unexpected as together we will learn how competitors, adversaries, and seemingly unconnected entities join forces to develop brighter ideas, make faster discoveries, and amplify the greater good for all.

CANARIE is grateful for the ongoing support and collaboration of all Summit sponsors. The Premier Partners have both worked with CANARIE to ensure networking and security technologies continue to evolve to benefit Canada’s research, education, and innovation communities.

“AWS is proud to support CANARIE through sponsoring this year’s Summit,” said Coral Kennett, Education Lead for Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Canada. “We have worked closely with CANARIE for many years, and currently provide cloud services for the DAIR Cloud Program. Additionally, AWS enables many SaaS providers like Kaltura—the video experience cloud—which helps businesses across Canada unlock more ways to connect with its core audience.”

“Microsoft has worked closely with CANARIE over the past 10 years, and we’re pleased to support the CANARIE Summit,” said Marc Seaman, Vice President, Education Segment, Microsoft Canada. “We look forward to continuing to deliver solutions that support cybersecurity initiatives for Canada’s research and education community.”
